Customer-first guidance
Simple explanations without hidden or unsupported claims.
1. Before you place an order
Buyer protection begins with clear product, seller, warranty, price and fulfilment information.
Review the exact product
Check the seller where shown, description, selected variant, price, stock, warranty type, delivery method and included items before confirming.
Review the order total
Check product quantities, discounts, disclosed delivery charges, address and payment method. Do not continue if important information is incorrect.
Use official channels
Place orders and follow payment instructions only through VikiniMataEtha or verified support. Off-platform arrangements may be difficult or impossible to investigate.
2. During payment and fulfilment
Verified records help protect the customer, seller and marketplace throughout the transaction.
Payment record
Keep the order number and relevant bank reference or COD evidence. A submitted bank reference is verified before payment is confirmed.
Delivery visibility
Use accurate delivery details, follow available order status and tracking information, and inspect the parcel promptly after arrival.
Credentials remain private
Support does not need your password, OTP, full card number, security code or online-banking password to resolve an order issue.
3. After delivery
Returns, transit damage and warranty concerns follow separate evidence-based processes.
Wrong, damaged or defective item
An incorrect, incomplete, damaged, defective or materially not-as-described item may qualify for a return, warranty claim or another remedy after review.
Warranty responsibility
The product page and order snapshot identify the warranty type and responsible provider. Seller or manufacturer coverage is not represented as a VikiniMataEtha warranty.
Prompt reporting
Report the issue promptly with the order number and reasonable evidence so delivery, product and seller records can be preserved and reviewed.
4. Fair marketplace safeguards
Protection works together with honest customer and seller behaviour and proportionate risk controls.
Verified reviews and moderation
Genuine negative feedback is not suppressed. Content may be moderated for fraud, abuse, illegality, irrelevance or privacy violations.
Proportionate fraud controls
High-risk orders, repeated COD refusals, suspicious payment references or abusive claims may receive reasonable review or restrictions.
Seller accountability
Identified sellers must provide accurate listings, lawful products and required after-sales support. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to investigation, restriction or removal.
5. Complaints and legal rights
VikiniMataEtha policies do not replace mandatory consumer law or lawful external remedies.
Contact us first
Contact support promptly so the issue can be investigated and, where possible, resolved through the recorded marketplace process.
External redress
Depending on the issue, Sri Lankan consumers may use lawful complaint or redress options through the Consumer Affairs Authority, another competent body or the courts.
